Points of Principal

As we enter the last week of a very busy but successful term staff and students continue to work hard in lessons and the strong focus on learning continues.  During the last two weeks Year 11 students have sat their GCSE mock exams. This week parent/carers will receive the end of term report which will inform you of your child’s attitude to learning and behaviour grades for the autumn term.  Last week we celebrated the East Leeds Catholic Cluster Advent Liturgy at Corpus Christi Church. The celebration was led by students from the college and pupils from our 4 partner primary schools. It was a wonderful evening of music and spiritual readings which enabled us to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas. Thank you to my colleagues from the college and from our partner primary schools for preparing the pupils who read and sang so beautifully.

As part of our preparation for Christmas all year groups have participated in Advent assemblies and students from all year groups have been busy fundraising for a variety of good causes. Students in key stage 4 have participated in the Ruck Sack Appeal whilst key stage 3 have collected items for the i-Can Appeal. In addition staff have participated in their Advent Retreat and are busy preparing for the staff pantomime.

May I take this opportunity to personally thank you for your continued support for the college.
We wish you and your family a happy and peaceful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
