Critical Workers

The Government announced on Monday 4th January 2021 that all schools must move to remote learning.

Corpus Christi Catholic College is able to support the children of ‘critical workers’ during the pandemic response by providing on site learning. Children with at least one parent or carer who is listed as a critical worker are eligible for a school place, however, parents and carers who are critical workers should keep their children at home if they can.

The safety of our students and staff is our key concern. Students will be placed in year groups and we will continue with our established routines within school to reduce the spread of the virus.

The list of ‘critical workers’ was updated on 31/12/2020 and can be found on the government website www.gov.uk. This list of workers include:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Education and childcare
  • Key public services
  • Local and National government
  • Food and necessary goods
  • Public safety and national security
  • Transport and border
  • Utilities, communication and financial services

If you work within the above sectors and require your child to attend school, please complete the application below. An email will be sent confirming your place.

We are not asking for proof of employment at this time, but subject to demand we may have to request this in the future.

If you have any queries, please email criticalworkers@corpusleeds.org
