Food Allergies, Intolerances and Dietary Requirements

It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the school of pupil’s food allergies, dietary requirements and to keep school up to date of any change in circumstance.

The canteen daily menu system display all food allergen information and any food that is halal . Please contact our Catering Manager to inform College of any allergies or dietary requirements for your child. kitchen@corpusleeds.org or 0113 2009010. The College keeps a note of allergies and dietary requirements on pupil records which can be accessed by the relevant staff.

No Child Refused food

At Corpus Christi Catholic College, no student will be refused food because of their account balance. We are committed to ensuring that every student has access to a meal during the school day.

Where a student’s catering account has a negative balance, parents/carers will receive polite reminders to add funds to the account. Staff will also provide appropriate reminders to students where necessary, in a discreet and respectful manner.

Where an account remains in deficit, the student may be offered a limited menu until the account has been brought back into credit. This approach allows the College to manage outstanding balances while ensuring that no child is denied access to food.

Our approach is intended to be supportive, respectful and consistent with the College’s commitment to the welfare, dignity and wellbeing of every student.
